Valentine's Day

This year Valentine's Day was about FAMILY! Anna's due date was February 13th, so we thought we might have a Valentine baby. As it turned out, she was born on January 31st, adding yet ANOTHER January birthday for our family! (We have LOTS.) Anyway, this Valentine's day we enjoyed as a family of four. During the day we relaxed, went for a walk and played at the park, did some jobs around the house, and gave Alex a bath... Check out my BIG baby!

Then we had the Swamidass Family over for dinner and cookie decorating! (The Swamidass Family is: Nate's sister Heidi, her husband Vijay, their 3 year old daughter Rachel, and their newborn son Jonathan. Jonathan was born on January 15th, so he is just 2 weeks older than Anna!) It was a very fun evening celebrating together.

Baby Wise

The day before yesterday I was sitting in the glider reading "On Becoming Baby Wise", while Alexander was playing with some toys. I decided to read aloud so as to involve Alex, and not make him feel like I was ignoring him. Well, shortly into it, he decided it was his turn to read...

He grabbed the book from me and began flipping through it. I just couldn't pass up this opportunity... Alexander is becoming baby wise! Getting ready to take care of his little sister:).

Actually though, just so you know, this is a FABULOUS book! I followed it pretty closely with Alex, and I intend to do the same with Anna. If you have an infant and are in need of some guidance and sleep- check it out!
